VICON: Grassroot INNOVATION Management
In collaboration with UNESCO, Inherent will be hosting a series of seminar on Grassroot Innovation Management by experts from many countries through Video Conference (VICON)
A brief overview about the course contents is as follows:
Types of knowledge (basic concepts) – reverse engineering, type of innovation, distinguishing feature of GRI, GRI within the framework of innovation cycle, community ownership
Innovation examples (with case studies) – preferably in the fields of herbal medicine, agriculture, energy, food processing
Who are the players in the process? What value do they add? How do they benefit? What resources do they need/deploy? — Individual, student, company, community, government (social diffusion, regulatory body), research institute, financial institution, NGO, etc.
Broader application – Examples of product application that go beyond original purpose, and involve many players
